Executive Director / Principal Occupational Therapist
Wife to Matt and mother of 4, Judy loves meeting new people and is passionate about Occupational Therapy. She thinks it’s the best job in the world and is genuinely shocked it’s not everyone’s profession of choice.
In 2004, Judy graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (Honours 1).
Judy has over 20 years of experience working with people, their families and support networks. She is able to work across the lifespan, with her specialty being complex disability.
Judy has a great understanding of the NDIS practice framework. She has had extensive experience working with Disability Services QLD and brings that knowledge of government systems into her interactions with NDIS.
We caught up with Judy who was only too happy to share more about herself.
What do you do at My Therapy Crew?
I meet with senior leaders in our crew frequently to help make sure we are achieving our vision of making a positive impact! My dream is for us to provide quality clinical services, so a big part of my role is making sure that everyone in the crew is receiving the input and support they need, so that our clients have great clinicians serving them.
What is your superpower at work?

I absolutely LOVE doing pilates and going for long ‘walk and talks’ with friend. On Sundays I often serve as a welcomer at my church and giving people a hearty handshake & hello on their way in the door fills me with joy.

I become easily addicted to TV shows and will commit to watching the entire series even if it’s 10 seasons long. That’s why I can never start watching Grey’s Anatomy.
Karen has over 15 years of experience as an Occupational Therapist graduating from the University of Qld in 2004. She has spent most of her time working in the community within the areas of aged care and also has experience in disability and working with the NDIS. Her main areas of expertise are with home modifications and assistive technology.

What do you do at My Therapy Crew?
I’m the Clinical Manager at the Eight Mile Plains office, making sure everything runs smoothly and the team stays on track. I keep the ship steering forward—supporting the crew, solving problems, and helping us deliver great care every day.
I’m also a Lead Occupational Therapist, working directly with clients and providing support and supervision to other clinicians so we can all grow and deliver our best work.

Sophia graduated from the University of the Sunshine Coast with a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (Honours) and has spent time working across both community and hospital settings since this time. She has worked with paediatrics, adults and the older population to support their individual goals to maximise their quality of life. She has a keen interest in rehabilitation as well as supporting people to live safely at home with the support of assistive technology (equipment) and home modifications.
Sophia has always had an interest in holistic health and loves helping people reach their maximum potential. She is passionate about helping people engage in their meaningful activities and strives to promote clients' independence and well-being. She also believes it's important to be an attentive listener and create a safe space where clients can openly share their concerns and goals to feel heard and validated.

As an occupational therapist, I work with a diverse caseload of individuals and their support networks to build independence and improve quality of life. My work spans across skill-building, therapy, upper limb rehabilitation, home modifications, assistive technology prescription, and detailed clinical reporting tailored to each person’s needs.
My super power at work is...
enjoy writing insightful reports that capture an accurate picture of my clients, especially when writing Functional Capacity Assessments. I genuinely enjoy getting to know the people I work with and understanding their needs so I can support them in meaningful, practical ways. I value working with the whole person recognising that people are more than their diagnosis or referral reason and supporting them in ways that are authentic and individualised.
What more can you share with us? Outside of work, I enjoy all things creative from painting to listening to music, cooking, reading and discovering new films. I’m an avid researcher, always seeking to understand the why behind things and grasp them fully. I try to spend as much time as I can out in nature, exploring Brisbane’s walking trails, weekend markets, and cafés. I also love winding down with a good book, spending time with my partner, and playing with my curious little kitten (who thinks he runs the house).

Naomi has a big heart for children and families! Naomi graduated from La Trobe University with a Bachelor of Health Science and a Masters of Occupational Therapy Practice. Jonathan is a physiotherapist who is passionate about helping you achieve your goals through applying the latest scientific research. He has extensive experience working with a variety of neurological, musculoskeletal and cardiorespiratory conditions.

What do you do at My Therapy Crew?
Supporting my clients to maintain emotional regulation and calmness. All behaviours are forms of communication. As a PBSP we become investigators to work out what is happening for each client.
I ensure our sessions are person-centred and fun sessions to emphasize creating a supportive and enjoyable environment where individuals feel empowered to explore their thoughts and feelings, leading to self-discovery and positive change. I am inherently motivated towards positive growth, building a strong therapeutic relationship based on empathy, genuiness and unconditoanl positive regard.
I am passionate and motivated to learn more about about mental health and anxiety, executive functioning and Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA).

Making people laugh and feel relaxed in my company. I am a good listener (even though I have one good ear) and I have a high level of emotional intelligence and I can see and feel people’s emotions.

I'm a Behaviour Support Practitioner at My Therapy Crew, where I strive to bring a sense of calm and clarity to what can sometimes feel like chaos. I've been in this role for two years now, and I genuinely love what I do!
Before becoming a PBSP, I worked as both a paediatric community nurse and a mental health nurse. Both of these experiences deeply shaped my approach to behaviour support and continue to inform my practice every day.

Jessica is a Dietitian and graduated with a Bachelor of Exercise and Nutrition Sciences and a Master of Dietetics Studies from the University of Queensland. She loves working as a dietitian and is passionate about helping her clients improve their health and nutrition through an evidenced-based and holistic approach.
Jessica loves working in the disability sector and feels proud when celebrating her clients’ achievements – no matter how big or small. While Jessica enjoys seeing clients for all types of concerns, her specialty areas are weight loss/gain, chronic disease management and healthy ageing.
She does nutrition assessments, reports and loves writing tailored meal plans for her NDIS clients.

Jessica and her partner, Tommi, recently bought a fixer-upper house that they have been renovating and making their own. Learning new skills and having fun along the way is important to her.

Maddie graduated from the University of Melbourne with a Master of Music Therapy. She is very passionate about music’s ability to support the health and wellbeing of people of all ages. As a music therapist, Maddie values person-centered and evidence-based practice, and enjoys supporting her clients in ways that align with their interests.

Ruth is a qualified CPA (Certified Practicing Accountant) since 2006 after completing her Bachelor of Business degree at QUT in 2003. Prior to joining My Therapy Crew, she worked in areas including Compliance, Policy Writing and Accreditation in the education sector. Ruth joined My Therapy Crew in 2021, assisting Matthew in various accounting and practice management tasks.

Nicole is known around the office as the 'Scheduling Queen' and can respond to enquiries, make bookings and ensures the crew all get to where they need to go at the right time! She was one of the original employees of the company and has a solid understanding of how things work at My Therapy Crew.

What do you do at My Therapy Crew?
As an Administration Officer, I play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of our team. I specialise in scheduling, coordinating appointments, and managing communications between clients and staff. With strong attention to detail and a proactive approach, I help keep things running efficiently behind the scenes, supporting both internal teams and client needs with reliability and professionalism.
What is your superpower at work?
My superpower? Scheduling wizardry. I make calendars behave, meetings magically appear where they should, and ensure clients and staff are always in the right place at the right time. Whether it’s juggling last-minute changes or coordinating across teams, I bring calm, order, and a touch of admin magic to every day.

When I’m off the clock, you’ll find me on our hobby farm where my husband looks after 30+ cows — and I do my part by relaxing under a gum tree. We sleep in a camper trailer (just a bed, really), but the view and the cows make it five stars!

About 10 years ago, I travelled around Australia with my family — proof that I’m a lot more adventurous than I might seem at first!
Nicole holds a Diploma in Business and has a six-year background in customer service. Her experience has fostered a deep understanding of customer needs and the value of cultivating strong relationships. Nicole’s friendly and outgoing personality makes her a natural at connecting with others.
When not at work, Nicole enjoys spending time with family and friends, exploring the beach, or simply relaxing. She and her partner are avid campers and four-wheel drivers, making the most of their time together.

What do you do at My Therapy Crew?
I am an administration officer who helps keep everything running smoothly. I juggle calendars making sure no one is double booked; everyone shows up where they need to be and no appointment clashes. I turn chaos into a perfectly planned day.
What is your superpower at work?
Problem-Solving Powerhouse – Printer jam? Late coffee delivery? Calendar clash? No problem too big (or too small)!

Nothing beats the thrill of loading up the 4WD, hitting a dusty track, and heading off-grid for a weekend escape with my partner and friends. Whether it’s climbing rocky hills, crossing muddy trails, or cruising along a beach - I’m in my element.
