Allied health assistants

Steadfast support, always at your side.

Extra help at every step

Together with your Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, and Speech Pathologists, our Allied Health Assistants (AHAs) support you in reaching your therapeutic goals. They're here to help you use the skills you're learning, usually every week or two. Whether it's an exercise plan, communication skills, social and emotional regulation, travel training, or life skills like cooking, the sky is the limit! Whatever your goal is, your AHA supports you to achieve it, under the guidance of an experienced therapist.

Educated, dedicated, supportive

Qualifications matter to us because we know how important it is for you to feel confident you're working with people who know what they're doing. All of our AHAs have experience working with people with disabilities. Plus, they have a Certificate IV in Allied Health or are finishing up their university degree in an Allied Health field.

Here for you, all the way

Your AHA has consistent contact with you and will be your 'go-to' person.  They'll get to know your daily routines and the other supporters in your life, and help you practice life skills like fine motor skills, balance exercises, communication techniques, learning how to shave, and accessing the community. Your AHA is here for you, whatever you need.
